I can't decide between the Kidkraft Vintage or the Uptown.
I like the look of the vintage better, but wonder if the uptown is a little better for sharing and might be played with longer since it's a little bigger.

I think it would really depend on your personal style and how your house is decorated and/or where it was going. I picked ours (Retro White) because it's in the front formal living room, as soon as you open the door. It's still a big piece of furniture that doesn't exactly fit our decor, but it kind of blends in to the background, if you know what I mean? The Uptown is really snazzy looking, but we have nothing modern like it in our house or none of that wood color tone.

I prefer the vintage. At the time the uptown wasn't an option when I bought ours. It has been through 2.5 years of continuous use, and now my 10 month old has joined in on the fun. They play together sometimes, and it's enough room for them to share.

I got the vintage red because it matches our decor in the living room and she plays with it every day!

Mil gifted the Kidkraft cook with me kitchen. I didn't think I would be fond of the primary colors but I love it! Has more features than the vintage.

We have the vintage pink and love it, although I can't remember why we picked that over the uptown

I think the vintage is more fun but DH doesn't like it. The Uptown is taller so we are going to go with that one, so hopefully we get more life out of it.

We're getting the vintage in either light pink or white. Just prefer the look of it over the uptown!

The vintage one is SO small. I was set on buying until I saw it in person. Way too tiny. We bought the corner version of the Uptown.

@lawbee11: The pink is much nicer in person than it looks like on Amazon - I was worried it would be really bubblegum/cotton candy and it's much more subtle.
Now you guys are all making me wish I'd gotten the Uptown! Ah well.

I got the uptown because we have darker espresso colored furniture. And because it's taller so I just feel like it will be well loved for years to come. Not that the vintage one won't be played with ... I'm just saying that my 2 year old is pretty much as tall as the vintage kitchen. So by 4, 5 - I just feel like she'll enjoy playing with the taller uptown one.
BTW the uptown comes in a blond wood color too.

Uptown. We also have darker espresso furniture. It blends well with our furniture and kitchen. He's grown into it and loves it.
