Read this quote in Oprah Magazine... it's from Dr. Phil.
Been wondering if it's true? It obviously fails for some same-sex parents, like one of Charlie's good friends (a boy) who has two moms. And it doesn't apply if you've lost a parent (if they share a gender with you).
Putting those situations aside, I still wonder if this holds water. Is Mrs. Bee Olive's most powerful role model? Am I Charlie's most powerful role model? Maybe for certain things, but I am having trouble buying what Dr. Phil is selling.
