Anyone use products by The Ordinary? I just heard about them and ordered a bunch of stuff (so cheap!) but wanted to hear about other people who use these products and what your routine is. Love/hate it?

I just started using their stuff >3 months ago and I really like it. But to be fair, I had no skincare routine before.

@Miss Flamingo: Same as you that I never really had a routine before so I can't tell if it's just that good or if I was just so bad at taking care of my skin so anything is better!

@Mommy Finger: I tried it based on the recommendation of a friend who is much more high maintenance than me and she loves it too! I feel that adds to its credibility.

I love it! My skin has improved a lot and I no longer break out around my period. I found the facebook group deceim enthusiasts very helpful in creating a routine.

I really like it, but my favorite thing has been their foundation.
The light coverage one actually is VERY good coverage, but sheer and natural looking. I like using the rosehip seed oil at night.

I’ve been watching some YouTube videos but I’m still overwhelmed! I am definitely a skin care newbie. I just started using whamisa’s double rich toner and lotion, but that’s all use on my skin other than sunscreen. Before that, I barely even washed my face any tips or product recs for a beginner?

I love The Ordinary's concept - quality skincare at affordable prices, but I've been hearing a lot about QC issues as of late probably because of all the chaos going on behind the scenes.
Lots of drama going on with Deciem (parent company of The Ordinary) right now - the CEO recently fired the co-CEO and the CFO resigned all in the last week.

That said, their products have been hit or miss for me! I like their niacinamde + zinc, and I also like their granactive retinoid in squalane. The prices have made it easy to experiment with no major loss. And they have a 365 day return policy.

I'm hunting new moisturizer and face wash and clicked over thinking oh maybe this will be good. But after reading I've got zero idea what I would even want to buy
Anyone care to give me a newbie lesson?

@MamaBear87: I think I was looking for tips too! I literally just bought a bunch of stuff and tried to mash together a routine based on their suggested routines on the website and this web post: https://detailorientedbeauty.com/2017/06/29/the-ordinary-a-recommended-routine-for-every-skin-type/

@Mommy Finger: maybe this is just too complicated for me anything that involves like 7 things on your face seems like I will never do it

@MamaBear87: I was thinking the same thing but honestly, it takes like 30 seconds to do it.

I took a peek at the website. Overwhelming to say the least! I know I’m doing stuff wrong currently. I have post part in acne and have had what I think are closed comedomes (small bumps that aren’t milia on my forehead and now most of my face). I know I need to do something and change it up but I don’t have the patience to figure out what is making my skin frea, nor risk trying new stuff and more breakouts. I like the price points tho
Oh and I feel down The Ordinary/skin care reddit rabbit hole last night. Ugh.
