I didn't know this was a thing. I enjoy putting Ikea furniture together and I'm usually the one doing it (and save DH for the tightening of the screws). But he's pretty meticulous, so I don't worry. The real trick is actually getting him to do it! He bought 2 Ikea bookcases a month ago and it's still downstairs just laying there!!

Haha I enjoyed this piece. DH and I have definitely had our IKEA "moments." (Especially when we lived in New York - the Red Hook IKEA, yoi!) But thankfully we've got our process down and are pretty good furniture-buying+building team at this point!

Ha! This is why I'm in charge of putting together indoor furniture and DH is in charge of outdoor. I even put together our crib when I was 30 weeks!

@SugarplumsMom: I enjoy putting IKEA furniture together, too. I have an mini power drill that helps me tighten the screws. It's just easier for me to do it... Instead of hearing DH curse through it. Plus, I know I will follow the directions and look at the fine details better than DH will.
I even told DH once that I could work at IKEA just assembling their demos.

Haha D and I have put together a lot of IKEA furniture and have never even gotten snippy about it, but I always joke that it would make a great couple's therapy activity!

I've only made IKEA once when I was single. I'm pretty sure it should stay that way.
