at the beginning of the year, to make their time with your LO easier.
LO's teacher is coming for an in home the night before school starts. My 4 year old has quite the personality, so without overdoing it I'm trying to figure out what I should mention about her.
What types of things would you mention about your LO (or did you) to their teacher?

I usually tell them that my son is exposed to a second language, and sometimes he might slip in a word or two that they might not recognize, so don't panic.
I also tell them that he is extremely affectionate and to reinforce with him that he needs to ask first if it's okay to hug a classmate.

I try to only mention safety things. DD1 was a runner so I mentioned that but not much else.
I'd bring up bathroom things like when she'd last gone.
I wanted her and her teachers to get to know each other at the same time without and prejudices from me.

My main things are health related. I tell them about their food allergies, discuss Benadryl and EpiPens, and for Xander, I also talk about his asthma and when to give him his inhaler and when to call me.

Yeah, I generally just go with safety/health sort of things. I figure that they will figure out personality things as they go, plus kids can act differently with their teachers/classmates than with their parents, so I wouldn't want to prep them for something that isn't an issue there! I also don't think there is much my kids would do that isn't relatively average/common for their ages
