I'm looking out the window at work and this guy is literally dragging a dog. That makes me so angry! He thinks it's funny too. I can see a smirk on his face. Some people do not deserve pets.

@MarieJ: What do you mean dragging? is the dog laying down or pumping the brakes on the walk?

Is the dog just trying to stop and smell a lot? I'm having a hard time picturing it. I know I've had to practically drag my dog when he's being a PITA and I'm in a rush (like, he tries to sniff every single thing even though he's peed plenty).
@cmomma17: That's horrifying.

@Reese: the dog is laying down and the guy is dragging it. I guess trying to make it get up and walk. On concrete. He's dragging the dog on concrete. Poor dog

@cmomma17: that's so awful.
@Foodnerd81: the dog was lying on the ground (concrete) and he started dragging it to get it to walk. At first I thought the dog was just trying to stop and sniff, but the guy started yanking its leash making the dog lose it's balance and would drag the dog and the guy would laugh.

@MarieJ: Poor dog! I believe that people in some way treat dogs the way they would treat people...i.e., if they would be cruel to dogs, they would be cruel to people.

@spaniellove: I agree
it was so sad watching it. I wanted to rescue the dog and take him home with me.

My DH never owned a dog (or any pet) before we moved in together 3 years ago and I brought my dog to live with us. He loves dogs now, and was just as devastated as I was when our last one passed away... but sometimes he doesn't get how training a dog works. Our new puppy, Leroy, doesn't really like walks yet and sometimes he'll lie down in the grass on the middle of a walk. My DH once dragged him a few feet thinking that would teach him to get up and walk. What he didn't understand is that that will just make him hate walks even more. People who haven't been around animals much just don't get it sometimes and many seem to think you need to physically punish a dog for it to learn.
Laughing or smirking at dragging the dog though? That's just messed.
