Well I understand what you are getting at, just reading that as a stranger made it sound like you guys were expecting. If both your fb's are only super close people they may get it, but I would expect to see some people not understanding and posting "congratulations!" I think this would go better as a personal card to your DH then a Facebook post.

I don't know if I'm going to do anything. My miscarriage just happened. It feels too soon for me. I am going to give DH a lot of attention and make sure he's ok seeing all the Father's Day stuff.

@swedishfish: i really like that one.

I basically said happy father's day to my dad, and then wished a happy day if they could have one, for whoever finds this day difficult for whatever reason.

I think DH is handling it better than I handled mother's day. He still thinks it sucks though! Ugh.

I didn't do anything for DH, but I did post the picture that @swedishfish: posted on facebook. We aren't "out" with most people, but we did lose my dad not that long ago.

This is our second father's day without my dad, and we went to a wedding last night with my mom and her new boyfriend, this was the first time I've seen her with a man other than my dad and I had a really nice run-in with a lady from our community where she tried to interrogate me about why we don't have children yet. Needless to say, it's been a rough weekend DH has been nothing but a saint through it all!
