I've been stressing out trying to figure out how to baptize LO and have been completely discouraged by the strict requirements upheld by all the Catholic churches in my hometown.

Then DH wrote to the church we'd visited when we were just TTC and where I'd pray when it was taking us awhile. It was a brief email: we said we were interested in having her baptized there, but we don't live in town and we're not part of the church. DH even mentioned how I was raised Catholic (it's a Lutheran church).

They responded right away saying yes! They're even open to have a Catholic priest baptize her for us! They didn't ask if we were married, where we were married, if we were baptized ourselves and didn't demand us to show them copies of our baptism certificates! All they said was yes.

I am beyond relieved!!! This church is Vadstena Abbey, founded by Saint Bridget in the 1300's! People come from all over come to visit it on pilgrimage. I am so honored. I didn't even realize I was still religious until DD got sick and was thinking the worse. So relieved!
