As many if you know, we have always struggled with W's sleep. She has always been somewhat of a decent napper, but never naps longer than an hour. Her night sleep is awful.
The past week or so she has been outright refusing her second nap. No amount of crying or nursing or rocking or bottle-feeding will get her to settle into an afternoon nap.

Yesterday, we tried for one nap. I kept her up until 12:30, and then put her down. The end result? She woke up an hour later! I thought she would sleep longer since she would be extra tired. "One nap fail," I figured.

We put her down for an early bedtime since she had been up for so long. A couple shocking things happened.
A) she seemed excited to go to bed. She grabbed her lovey and WALKED HERSELF into her room.
B) she went straight to sleep.
C) she didn't wake up until 3 a.m. she got a quick cuddle from dad and then didn't wake up again until 8:45.
D) that's 13 hours of sleep with one wake up. The best sleep she has ever had in her entire life.

Is it possible she could only need one one-hour nap? I keep reading that one nap babies should be sleeping 2-3 hours. I remember mrs. Bee saying that when Charlie switched to one nap, he would sleep 3-4 hours. What am I doing wrong?
This schedule just seemed to work soooo well and she was so incredibly happy throughout the day.

Does anyone have a one-year old who only takes one hour-long nap?

Is it okay for me to be okay with this?

ETA: if she is only sleeping for one hour (maybe an hour and 15), does that mean she truly isn't ready for one nap?
