Within the last few weeks I've seen Mockingjay 2 and The Martian. I thought Mockingjay was really good, and The Martian was amazing.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: you asked yesterday about how the holidays changed post kids. Watching all the good movies in theaters! LOL
DH really wants to watch the new Bond movie.

Mockingjay part 2 and maybe good dinosaur because I can't pass up on a Disney/Pixar movie.

@lawbee11: The Martian was incredible!
We'll go see Mockingjay at some point. And D wants to see The Good Dinosaur. We saw the preview when we took him to see The Peanuts Movie, and he's been talking about the dinosaur movie non-stop ever since. So as long as the reviews are ok on Common Sense, we'll probably take him to that.
ETA: Hubs is going to see Creed Friday night with his brothers.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: hopefully you have local family that loves to babysit! We do a lot of PPV now. At least it's cheaper? LOL

DH and I just saw Spotlight and it was AMAZING. Seriously the best movie I've seen in years.
I also want to see Mockingjay and Sisters (Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, hello!)

It is? I haven't been to the movies in over a year and a half
Like @regberadaisy: said, that doesn't happen much after having kids for us. That said, we are absolutely going to Star Wars, but probably not for another couple of weeks after it comes out.
I just really haven't found many movies that I want to actually see in theaters, that I can't wait for Redbox. To me it isn't worth a date night since we can put the kids to bed, then watch a rented movie and drink all the wine. If we have a date night, I want to spend it talking to my husband, since we both work too much and see each other in passing going to or from work or around kid tantrums and bedtimes.

@lemondrop: Honestly, I'm not a big theatre goer (it gives me anxiety) BUT I MUST SEE STAR WARS IN A THEATRE. So... we will go. But not for a few weeks, like at least 4. I am so, so stoked!

@.twist.: I'm worried about spoilers! And there's a theater near us that has reserved seats. Oh, and MIL will be here after Christmas so free babysitting.

We saw "The Night Before" this weekend. It's the R rated comedy with Seth Rogen and the guy from the 3rd Rock from the Sun/ Inception/ Interloper. It was really funny!

DH saw Creed alone. He said it was good. I was supposed to go out alone to see Mockingjay, but it hasn't been high on my list. MIL will be back in town soon, so maybe I'll feel like it then.
I think there is a movie coming out around Christmas that we both want to see. We'll be home and around a lot of family. It might be the first night alone without the twins.

We have tickets to see Star Wars at 7pm, technically the day before it comes out. I'm sure it will be crazy but at least the place has reserved seating so you don't have to show up way early to get a good spot.
DH also wants to see the new James Bond but I really don't want to. He can go with friends or wait till its on video because we only go out once a month and he doesn't get to pick a movie that's for him only twice in a row. That probably sounds bitchy but I really hate James Bond. If we end up at the movies again we'll probably compromise on Sisters or The Night Before since we both like comedies.

We saw Spectre on Friday night while my mom and SIL babysat. and dinner. It was awesome.
