@Mrs. D: I think the only thing to be conscious of is to make sure you are getting a ton of folic acid every day in your prenatal...I will be 2 mos shy of 35 when I deliver this one, and that was the only thing that I had read to really make certain to do when TTC in mid-30s. Obviously the risk of Downs goes up naturally, but lack of folic acid can contribute to risk, so it's good to get a lot of folic acid ahead of time. I was on the chewable prenatals and I think it was 800 mcg (mg?) per day and that seemed to be plenty, but my OB immediately wanted me to stop taking those when I got pregnant to get on a better prescription prenatal...So maybe even call to your OB and get a Rx prenatal? Other than that, you're probably good to go:)

My only advice would be to be proactive. I assumed that because we got pregnant on the first try at 34, the same would be true at 36. Not so. My doctor was very proactive though and when it hadn't happened at 5 months I asked her what we can do and she did a bunch of blood tests. Turns out I have diminished ovarian reserve and now and seeing an RE. So glad I didn't waste more time! I hope it's easier for you though! Good luck!
