I was lent a bumbo and am wondering whether you would recommend it or have used it with your little ones? My guy is 8 weeks old and has good head control. The reviews online seem mixed. Thanks!

I used one with my youngest (it wasn't out yet when my oldest was little) and I plan to use it for this LO as well.
If being used correctly, I think it's very helpful.

My LO sat in it 3-4 times before figuring out how to escape. So, I would never buy one, but I'm glad we got one or free in case future LOs like it.

If you have one, try it out! Again, if used correctly, on the floor with someone watching it can be a lot of fun!

We use it for solid feedings at 6 months since we don't have a highchair yet. My LO sits in one at daycare and watches kids. He's gotten to the point where he likes sitting more than laying on his back on his play gym, so the Bumbo helps. Also, I've put him in the Bumbo when I've had to go to the bathroom and need to see him.

Never even had the chance to buy one! He sat up unassisted at 4 months. A bumbo isn't something id buy new in any case.

We decided against using it before P was already starting to sit herself. I know they have a chiropractor that has signed off on its safety, but after reading other chiropractic reviews & learning more about nb spine shape vs older infant (crawling age) I felt it came with more risk than benefit.

We were lent one also but never used it. It aggravated DS's reflux and would cause him to vomit

we didn't use a bumbo, but something similar. we used the mama's and papa's snug for DS and that's what we fed him in, in the beginning. i think it really helped with him learning how to sit by himself as well. i liked it better than the bumbo because it has a wider base, the insert comes out so they can use it when they are older as well(my 3 year old nephew fits in it and likes to eat in it when he's over)

I used it maybe 10 times. Then I sold it at a consignment sale.

I tried to put DD in it earlier when she had good head control but she just slumped over. I bought one used and I feed her in it now that she can sit up in it. I think its nice to have but we're not using it a lot so I would say pass.

I use the bebepod by prince lionheart, but similar to others i only used it once or twice from when we purchased it when she was 3 months old until recently, and she can sit pretty well right now (5 months). we use it more now, she enjoys it - but gets frustrated when she drops her toys off the tray!

We were given one as a gift but it doesn't really get much use. She prefers her BabyBjorn Babysitter.

Meh. I bought one on nbd and even though he has head control he just slumps over in it.

We bought one and just started really using it around 4 months. I wouldn't say it's a necessity though, it's more just cute for pictures

I like ours. We got it mainly because LO was starting to develop a flat head and we wanted to keep him off his head as much as possible during waking hours. It's been good though we don't use it a ton - probably like 30 mins a day total. We also don't use it right after he's eaten because it does make him spit up.

I passed because if the unflattering reviews regarding posture. That said, I did use a exersaucer and doorway jumper in moderation so I'm not judging at all. It just wasn't something I felt we needed after weighing the pros/cons.

We had one and LO loved using it a few times a day when she had head control.

We've done just fine with out one. However if someone would have lent us one, then I would have used it. My little guy loves to sit up and it would have been nice not to have to hold him up all the time.
