So I am scheduled for a blood test this coming Thursday to find out if my last IUI was successful. My issue is, I can't stop thinking about it!! A few days ago I had terrible cramping and sharp pains, that lasted a full day. IDK if it was related to implantation or not, but of course that's all I can think about. Please, talk me off the ledge! I want to take a PT at home but am nervous of a false negative or positive...the waiting period is always so hard!

Good luck! I had tons of pains and cramps the days leading up to my BFP. Thought for sure AF was coming...but I’m looking at my son right now

If you used a trigger shot I would wait, it could still show up in traces and would drive you nuts. I also had all sorts of cramping and pain prior to getting my positive with E after an IUI.

I would wait until your blood test. After my first IVF implantation, I tested at home and got negatives. I couldn't hold it together when I walked into the office for the blood test and staff was wishing me luck. I knew I wasn't pregnant and I cried while getting my blood drawn. Terrible to have to do that in public. I would rather go to the blood draw feeling hopeful and then celebrate or not at home in private after receiving the phone call. Good luck, either way!

@agold: my doc only Has you come in for bw if you get a positive test at home, that sounds like torture!

I guess I’m the only one who thinks you should take a test! Like others have asked, did you have a trigger shot?

@LAZB: Oh my gosh. I was torture. I suppose I could have chosen not to go to the blood test. But I am sure I was still holding out some hope because of all the posts from HB doubting pee stick tests!! I was totally new to all pee stick mania. I have never been a fan of pregnancy tests!

I always took a test at home the morning of my blood test, because I didn’t want to spend my day waiting anxiously for my doctor to phone, but I also wanted to be in the “safe” window to avoid a trigger-shot-positive, so that’s what I would do.

Sorry I didn't see all of these until today! Thank you everyone for the words of wisdom. I took a test on Tuesday and it was a BFN. I took another one this morning and same result. I went and had BW drawn at 9am, then AF came at 9:45am. Looks like I will be starting over this time...........I definitely appreciated the test this morning though. The waiting period between the blood draw and the phone call was too much in the past. Thanks again, and good luck to all still trying with me!
