My son is 3.5 years old and is currently enrolled in a summer camp from 9-12 during the week. We get him up for the morning at 5:45 and we're out the door at 6:15. He goes to my parents house and then they bring him to camp.

It's a nature camp and he comes home exhausted, like can't stand up anymore, he's so tired. But on some days, he can't fall asleep. On those days, he's a terror at night, because he's tired, but he still needs a bath, etc.

The problem is basically that if he does nap during the afteroon (he gets woken up after 2 hours) is that he takes a long time to fall asleep, like almost an hour. If he doesn't take the nap, he literally screams and has a tantrum, but he falls asleep in minutes.

WWYD? Drop nap or keep nap? In September, he will have to drop the nap anyway, as he will be going to an afternoon preschool from 12-3.
