I just saw a commercial for this. I guess as a supplement to cows milk ? Or a replacement ? Supposedly for the DHA ?

I don't have any real experience, so take this with a grain of salt. We spent a few weeks with my 2yo niece who constantly drinks it. It seems to just be prolonging her awful diet of rice, beans, and cookies.

Everything I've read says that most babies shouldn't have any need for formula after 1. I suppose that allergies or nutritional deficiencies would change things but I wouldn't give it unless recommended by a Dr.

Nay, I have not heard favorable things. And personally do not feel my daughter's diet needed it.

I got free samples of that in the mail and was curious (i.e. weirded out) by it.

I feel it's just a way for formula companies to try and get as much money from you while they still can. I guess I'm not educated about the nutritional value of it, though.

@littlecasita1122: @Mrs. Yoyo: was totally thinking it was a gimmick for formula companies to make more money !!!
@Katrocap: I got some too !

@coacheswife123: we haven't tried it but DS is beyond picky when it comes to eating these days. I'm going to ask the pediatrician about supplements at his two year appointment coming up in a couple weeks. We're also vegetarians, so I worry about him missing out on protein and iron when his food groups are pasta, bananas and yogurt.

I asked 3 weeks ago on here if anyone had used it or not.
We decided to try it.
My LO hasn't quite transitioned to cows milk....but has never had an issue with formula. He is 3 days away from being one.
We started a week ago on the "toddler transitions" formula....one bottle when he wakes up, and sometimes one when he goes to bed. He wakes up soooo hungry and this helps.
We plan on only using it for a few months until we fully transition to cows milk.

We are using the free samples that we received in the mail, but don't plan on buying any. LO is already getting cow's milk at 11 months, supplemented w/ formula. Our plan is to keep giving her less formula and more milk.
