A few months back, my 2.5 year old was sleeping 11-12 hrs each night. Over the past few months, she's started going to bed later and waking up earlier, so we are now down to 10 hrs tops each night. Naps are still the same (1-1.5 hrs), although on weekends she often wants to nap several hours before her normal nap time (like 10am...we don't let her). I take this to mean she is tired, but she can't seem to sleep in past 6am anymore, and she is often up by 5:30. She used to sleep until at least 6:30 or 7.

Anyone else go through this? Is this normal toddler stuff (i.e. she just doesn't need as much sleep) or possibly just due to the sun coming out earlier? We have blackout curtains but we also have a window A/C unit, and light definitely comes in through that.

I had a thought that it was due to potty training (she still wears a diaper overnight but usually wakes up dry and then pees in the morning) but DH pointed out that it started before we trained.
