My 24 mo old has never been a good sleeper. It seems we get past one issue and then it's something new. So here's my current battle...
She generally has able able go to sleep without any fuss. Up until this past weekend. She refused to sleep in her crib on Saturday night and for her nap on Sunday. My husband was out of town Thurs-Sun, so I was hoping him getting back last night would put us back in a normal routine. It did for last night. But tonight, he had to go to a holiday party, so it was just me at bedtime. She started thrashing when I was trying to pick her up and has been standing in her crib screaming for me for the past 30 minutes.
I'm not sure if this is coincidental, a separation issue from her dad being gone for a few nights, or her two molars that are finally breaking through.
Would you let her cry it out in a case like this?
And, if it is a separation issue, any tips on how to handle her dad being gone on a two week trip in January? She usually isn't nearly as attached to him like she is me, but I suppose the change of routine might be tough.
