29-month-old Charlie has been sick with a throat infection lately, but slept pretty well last night (9 pm - 6 am) and has been in a great mood all day.

He didn't go down for his nap today easily, and didn't go down for Mrs. Bee until after 2 or so; he ended up sleeping maybe 30-40 minutes. Then he woke up sobbing and crying, and has been inconsolable. He didn't want anything to drink or anything to do with either parent; he just wanted to be alone and in the dark. I'm watching him on the monitor now and he seems to be settling down a bit. At least, he sometimes stops crying for a bit and plays with his sleeves (that's how he self soothes).

He might just be tired, or maybe he's in pain (either a sore throat or a headache)... or maybe all of the above? Not really sure what to do other than to watch him on the monitor...

Does your LO wake up sobbing ever after a short nap? How do you handle it?
