monster=hamster
close you teeth=sounds like she picked it up from an Italian mobster, but it just means not to show your teeth and is usually directed at animals.
She doesn't do much for funny, but that one always cracks me up. She can say hamster, but lots of times if she is excited she forgets and calls them monsters. And she will sometimes call guinea pigs guinea hens.
