If your toddler sleeps in a bed at home with a rail what do you do when staying at a hotel or traveling? T definitely moved around in bed and uses a crib rail. We are traveling next week not sure what to do.

We used pillows and put them under the blanket around the edge. We tucked in the blanket so the pillows would not move.

@bunnylove08: We did the same, using the decorative pillows and tucked them under the sheets. The first time, we just took the mattress off the bed and had it on the floor.
You could also bring a pool noodle and tuck it under the sheet, or bring a bedrail (they're like 20 bucks on Amazon). Some hotels actually have their own stockpile of bedrails that you can request from housekeeping.

When we visit my family the bed is pushed against the wall. M sleeps on the inside and I on the outside.

We still use the toddler airbed (The Shrunks). Just used it a couple of weekends ago and she doesn't use a rail at home. We just didn't want to do two beds in our room.

We are traveling for the first time since DS transitioned to a twin bed next month. I think we are either going to buy a travel bed, or create reinforcements with pillows/blankets. (He sleeps with a pool noodle in his own bed.)

We all share a king size bed. DS is a heavy roller/flopper when he sleeps so he sleeps in the middle. We tried the 2 queen bed route twice (once when he was younger and again when he was older around 16 months). Both times, he rolled off the bed despite being surrounded by pillows. One of those times was onto cold tiled floors. I felt so, so bad. No more.

When she was younger (around 2), we made up a bed for her on the floor between the couch and some cushions and had her sleep on top of blankets there.
After about 2.5, we just had her sleep in a bed. We put some pillows around/near her and figured even if she moved, she likely wouldn't be scaling pillows in her sleep! She did fine.
We also got a suite once and had her sleep in the king size bed, and we slept on the pull-out couch. She did great, but I wouldn't recommend that

We're planning on using the toddler air bed for our next trip because I would prefer for him to be in a separate room from us so we can relax after his bedtime!
