E is really likes to get involved and "help" with anything you are doing. Recently, my inlaws (who have her three days a week), have started letting her stand on a stool and help in the kitchen. She loves it so much and it is really good for her.... but I don't have the time to stand there, supporting her on a stool, and chopping slowly with a butter knife!!

So.... I've decided to buy one of these:

This will take care of the stool issue - I will be able to walk around the kitchen cooking while she stands still doing the task I've set her (mixing, whatever).

How does your toddler help in the kitchen? What kind of tasks do they do? Do you have any other gear suggestions for me? Is there such a thing as a safety knife?! No?
