You've only been off birth control for four months right? I know it's so hard to think that it won't happen right away

@Claire.Peonies: chin up! Most couples get their BFP by six months-1 year! It will happen. I definitely know how you feel. I used to think I'd NEVER see that pink line. And each cycle the feeling of defeat was just depressing. Hugs. When's your next TWW?

@icebergmom- thank you! how do you reassure yourself when ttc? No one talks about the fact that it takes a few months to get pregnant. Feels like everyone gets pregnant the first time around..

It just takes time, sometimes. I know it's easy to jump right to thinking that something might be wrong, but you are still early days, so don't fret just yet. It took us much longer to get pregnant with Lorelei than I was anticipating, but we did. As for how to reassure yourself, I think you just found one way (ask all the other wonderful people here ;)). Beyond that, just try to keep it in perspective. There is no set timetable for this sort of thing, and your journey will be different from everyone else's and that's okay.

My OB told me give my body 3 months to re-regulate itself off BC. So if that's true for you, think of it as you have only really been trying one month. I don't know if that helps you, but it helped me!

@Emsmems: I agree with this. I went off Birth control and didn't officially try for three months just to let it all out. So really this may only be like your first cycle without those hormones still around.

@Emsmems: I agree with the 3 month rule too. I went off in October and finally, what seemed like ages later, got my BFP in April. The stress that comes with TTC is terrible. I would say try to relax, but I know it's easier said than done.

Thank-you everyone for your words of support! I am so glad that I joined the hello bee community. It has helped to reduce some stress this month. @ Mrs. Lemon-Lime- Yes we will! When is your POAS date?

@Claire.Peonies: I understand how you are feeling. It took us 7 cycles to get pregnant. The first few months of BFNs were not too upsetting, but around month four I started getting really sad and frustrated everytime I got my period. Hang in there! People always say that when you stop trying and stressing, you get a BFP. It drove me crazy to hear that because I could not stop myself from obsessing. But the moment we decided to stop trying for a few months and booked a trip to Vegas, we got pregnant.
Also, I did acupuncture and herbs for the cycle before and cycle of our BFP. If you will aren't pregnant in a few months, it might be worth a try. But remember it is perfectly normal for it to take up to a year. It's just so damn frustrating when it's doesn't happen when you want it to happen! TTC sucks!!!
