Show me your toy storage solutions! In desperate need of a new arrangement for our toys. I'm thinking I would like to do baskets or canvas storage bins but I always love to see what other people have. Show me what you have!

We have tall bookcases from target and canvas bins. I just purged half our toys and made labels for the bins - the labels have helped us put things away so much easier!

@Canoli: I just got this yesterday! For our sons elephant themed nursery. It's working great for his toys even though its technically a hamper. I couldnt stand trying to arrange them all on his shelves any longer!

@wrkbrk: I've been eying that for ages - I'm a huge elephant fan. So cute!!! Does it seem durable?

@PinkElephant: Yep!! It's sturdy and nicely made. We gotta medium but could have gone for the large!

I have the Storage Palooza bins from land of nod. Really like them. We live in an apartment so we have them in a corner of our living room. I have loosely given each bin a category and it helps a lot when putting stuff away.
They have lots of colors and a few different configurations. I like that they are big and easy for him to get toys from. And easy for him to put things into as well.

For things like stuffed animals we have these:

We have this bookshelf unit from ikea (kallax on top of a cabinet with doors) and it stores a ton of toys (pus extra stuff from our kitchen, the bottom cabinets have Costco bulk buys at the moment). It would look a lot nicer if we tidied and organized it a little better but it's easy to throw everything into the bins (also IKEA).

@Canoli: My DD is only a year old so we don't need to much toy storage yet but we just went out and got this unit from Ikea. We do a toy rotation so we keep a minimal amount of things out. The two bins holding things like mega blocks and books/stuffed animals.

We have the same kallax unit and storage bins as @Foodnerd81: Right now we also have a big bookshelf that has movies and books on it, but eventually we'll get rid of the bookshelf and probably get a bigger kallax unit and more bins. The bins aren't labeled and they're kind of messy, but we do have a slight semblance of a system to them, so for now it works.

@Mamaof2: oh I love the dress up clothes hanger! When we have a little more space will definitely try to remember that! Right now dress up clothes are jammed in one of our bins.

84% of their toys are in a corner of the family room. We got that kids sized dresser unit off CL a few years back and we filled it with dress up clothes as Dd1's Christmas present. Got the storage bin unit for free from a old co-worker!
Dress up stuff is in the closet, drawers house puzzles, etc.
Note: I just cleaned/purged so everything is super organized! Haha
