Hellobee Boards

We have sturdy canvas boxes from Ikea, the square ones that fit in the Kallax shelves. They are surprisingly big and hold lots of bulky toys. I keep two in the living room, one for each LO, and they definitely keep their shape.

we have canvas bins from restoration hardware in the rooms but i use the big cheap 40 gallon totes downstairs for stuff. Putting toys away that she doesn't use is on my Christmas break to-do list. It just slips away from me so quickly

I found it at a consignment store for $25 and I can pull a bin out per day and let him dig through it. When he gets older he can reach the higher shelves on his own too. I attached it to the wall of his playroom.

I also have canvas bins, I use the ones from Martha Stewart via Home Depot. They're not big enough for his Bruder trucks, but for the small pieces, they're perfect.

@edelweiss: haha, they're just sooooo big...we keep them in a storage space under the stairs. Or behind the couch, where I don't have to see them. I just can't think of a better solution, I am all ears if you stumble on something.

@blackbird: I just moved some of the bigger toys to the basement. Making room for Christmas (she is getting a kitchen) but we still have to go through everything one day when she is at school after Christmas.

Right now we have a shelving unit with 8 cubies. Toys sit in them and on top of it. Some cubies have bins to hold smaller stuff. She also has a princess tent that she doesn't really like, so it holds her princess LP castle and backs of blocks, etc.

We use big diaper boxes, the kind with handles that you get in the mail. They're super sturdy and so convenient that I've been using them for other odds and ends too. The only downside is that they don't really stack...

@blackbird: our basement isn't finished, so it is a black hole of crap!!
