Thinking of transitioning our LO to the crib first for naps. Any suggestions? We are Rock n Play co-dependent.

I'm not much help. I put her down sleeping in the crib once while the RnP was in the wash and she slept. She still sleeps a little better in the RnP but she does t have a problem switching. Lo may surprise you.

Magic Merlin Sleep Suits, crib wedges, (both on Amazon), and a towel "nest" (Mrs. Blue posted on this recently). And the usual: blackout shades, loud white noise, and consistency. It SUCKED for us, but it was worth it. Both twins slept in their cribs at 10 weeks and started STTN at 16 weeks.
NOW...I will tell you this...you will have to get out of those little "Magic" sleep suits eventually. I think the "Magic" part was a bit of a misnomer. My kids gave me cues (rolling over in them, totally busting out, etc. around 6-7 months), but it's no easier than swaddle weaning. I would buy them again in a heartbeat (bought 3 at $40 a pop), They gave us two months of bliss which I wouldn't give back for a minute. But I'm just sayin.,,,be ready. Also, your naps may shorten significantly. I HOPE HOPE HOPE they don't, but my two angels gave me 4, 40-minute naps from 3-6 months, pretty much the second they got out of the RnP. I swear those RnP's are laced with crack.
So...bottom line...try the sleep suits. Try every trick in the book. It will be worth it, but there may be rough waters ahead!
GL! Let me know if you have questions!

Thanks!! I need to join a rock and play support group I think. I just ordered a magic suit, we'll see how that goes. At least you can use them until they're older.

The Melin was a life saver for us! Now she sleeps in it at night, but for naps i just put her in the crib as she is.
