I'm graduating in May with my masters....DH and I were planning on flying out for graduation (I'm a distance education student) so I can walk. It'll be about 6 weeks after I have the baby (I'm due 3/30, graduation is 5/11)...my mom is going to come up and spend Friday and Saturday with her. We're thinking we'll fly out Friday evening and fly back Saturday after graduation. Definitely a short trip, but I want to walk.

Does anybody see major issues with this? I'm hoping to have a few bottles pumped ahead of time. If not, I don't care if she's supplemented with formula. And I guess I'll bring a hand pump for the flight. But will I feel up to it? Is this too "big" of an overnight outing 6 weeks postpartum?...

ETA: Leaving the baby back home with mom...only DH and I are flying. Flying with a newborn seems too stressful+college graduation, etc. Seems easier to let mom watch her (and she's really excited to do it)

ETA2: Southwest flies nonstop...we're talking about a 2 hour flight each way
