If you have experience with trigger shots... what dose did you take? Did you test out the trigger? If so, what day did it turn negative?

@CatchAFallingStar: I use the OVIDREL SY (prefilled injection) which is 250 mcg (* same as 0.5 mL). It is equivalent to 6500-IU of injectable chorogonadotropin alph. In early March (the last time I used Follistim with Ovidrel), I did test out the trigger (along with Yellowbeach who triggered around the same time). My body metabolized it quickly and my line was VVVVL on 9 dpo and not really visible (on a 20 miu HPT) on 10 dpo unless I used a filter on my phone to see it. That stated, Yellowbeach's stayed longer. I believe her levels petered out around 12 dpo, if I am not mistaken. Every body metabolizes a trigger differently at a dissimilar rate. FWIW, most REs (and OBGYNs) will tell you to wait 14 dpt to test for a BFP to make certain all of the HCG is out of your system.

I’ve done ovidrel also. I did attempt to test out trigger but what I learned is that it’s honestly not a great idea or at least, you must take it with a huge grain of salt. Pregnancy tests at home are not meant to accurately show you things like a very low hcg of 5. So say that’s the amount of trigger left ... that may show up as a stark white one day and a very faint squinter the day following getting hopes up, but still be trigger. A white test does not mean trigger is gone, just that that test didn’t detect it since all tests and urine samples are a little different. So I think you can test trigger out (and I certainly wouldn’t judge you for it!) but you’re still going to be waiting until 12-14dpo to make sure it’s real with gradual darkening. I think mine was gone for good by 12dpo if I remember correctly.
Good luck! As you know the waiting on medicated cycles is so hard

DW did Ovidrel for both our IVF cycles but we did not test it out either time. I just had seen too much confusion over that online and we didn’t want to buy expensive tests ha. Both our cycles were successful and we had a clear positive on FRER at 9/10 dpo (or rather 6/7 days post 3 day transfer and 4/5 days post 5 day transfer)
ETA: thinking about this again, I suppose we did trigger for our 9 IUIs as well and always tested around the same time 9/10 dpo which were always stark white negative no question about it so we felt confident our positives with the IVF cycles were not trigger leftover (they were not squinters whatsoever)

For the 4 IUI's I've done, I never tested out the trigger. But I did take tests on 9/10 DPO and they were stark white on my failed cycles and vvvvfl on my two successful cycles.

This is 8 days after a 5,000 iu trigger. Not sure if it could be positive at this point. I know I’m testing too early.

I used ovidrel for 3 IUIs and 1 IVF cycle. I never tested out the trigger and actually never even took a pregnancy test with my IVF cycle, which resulted in my 11 week old daughter. I hate pregnancy tests, they are just too stressful for me.
I'm not 100% sure when ovidrel should be out of your system, but I do think 8 days past could go either way. It's possible that's a true positive!

@Fawn: I called and the nurse said the trigger would probably be gone by now!

@CatchAFallingStar: It is possible it is a BFP 🤞, however, the earliest I have ever HEARD of the trigger petering out was AT 6 dpo/8 dptrigger. Mine was at 9 dpo/11 dptrigger. I would simply test again tomorrow morn to see if there is any progression then call your RE for betas. Your RE may ask you to wait until 14 dpo/16 dptrigger "just in case," so don't be alarmed. I truly hope that this is your BFP cycle. 🤞

@Kaohinani: it was only 5,000 units this time (I’ve had 10,000 in the past), so the nurse said it’s most likely out by now.. we shall see!!

@CatchAFallingStar: Incidentally, I moved your July POAS date (as well as, Paranundrum's) from the July board to the August board as most of the ladies were ready to move on from July and had abandoned the board. Please- Feel free to update us with a BFP when you are certain.

Very faint still this morning. I’m going to get a few FRERs later and give those a spin. At this point, I think it’s probably the trigger. But, still hopeful. I’m only 7 DPO today. (7 days past IUI actually)

@CatchAFallingStar: 7 dpi is still early. I am hoping it is the "real deal." 🤞

I can’t even tell if there’s color in the line. This was about 2-3 minutes.
