I'm too afraid to use the clippers and the file/emery board seems inefficient. So I've been peeling/tearing them. Am I the only one? What do you do?

I use clippers, and get nervous every time I have to use them. I'll have to look into those scissors!

Um…I bite them. I clipped him once, and he bleed, and then couldn't do it anymore. My Mom told me she always bit ours and so that's what I did. Now when J2 has a little hang nail he shoves his finger in my mouth lol

I sit Fi on my lap facing away from me and hold her hand and do one finger at a time the little led light on the end really helps me make sure i dont trim anymore than her nail

@junebugmama: We bite them over here, too. Actually, DH is a pro at getting it done quickly and efficiently so he takes care of it most of the time.
We had one bad experience with baby nail clippers - never again!

I clip. I was super scared with DH but much easier with DD. Just pull the skin back a little to give some room to clip and it's a breeze.
eta: I do it most often when DD is asleep.

I think i'm in the minority here but I've had zero issues cutting LO's nails since she was born! We use the safety first brand clippers, I think? And by we, of course, I mean me, because DH wouldn't attempt this with a gun to his head.
