I've had silkworms. BBUNDAEGI. And love them. I haven't had them in the states, but when I used to go to Korea -- I'd love the lil street vendors that sold them.
Any exotic, weird delicassies you like?

I ate termites and grasshoppers in Africa and scorpion in china. Scorpion tastes awful (like you'd imagine a bug tastes!)

I have tried Escargot and blood pie but I don't think I would try it again. I do like Balut but I haven't had them in a long time. I do love tripe in my pho.

@bluestriped bee: I only like the "juice" in the balut and the yolk... altho I was wondering what that juice is, exactly. Amniotic fluid? I can't think about it too much.
I've eaten escargot, caviar, tripe (not a fan), gizzards (my mom is a big fan, I'm indifferent), and raw duck's blood (tiet canh-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ti%E1%BA%BFt_canh).

Oh my... I just posted on the seafood board saying how I'm not adventurous in the food department... reading all the posts about eating and liking blood sausages are making me wanna gag lol .... I remember watching a show on food network that guy that goes around the world eating weird things and I remember that one... yuck! lol

Nope. I am not food adventurous at all. I have a super sensitive gag reflex and just the thought of most of this stuff is terrifying to me. That said, I have this strange desire to try durian. I think it's the fact that it supposed to me so nasty that has me intrigued.

Ugh this post made me a little nauseous...I consider myself adventurous until I read this! haha

@HabesBabe: Yeah, I don't even want to think about it. I tried it in high school. My parents eat it about twice a year. They brought it home and I tried some. It wasn't that bad. It was peer pressure but from my parents. LOL
As for the duck's blood, my parents made it into a pie that you could slice. There was a phase in my life that my mom said I liked it. Looking back, I can't believe I did. I have a bad gag reflex now so I know I couldn't stomach it now.
@chibee: I don't know how to describe it. I feel bad admitting that I've tried it. Like I said above, it was peer pressure from my parents.
@bree72: I have tried durian and it's not that bad if you hold your nose. lol
