When? Why? How? LOL Okay maybe not too many details on how
Just curious .... how old was #1 when you started TTC #2?
Any advice, opinions, cautionary tales?

We started to TTC for #2 right after DD turned one (she was born in March and my IUD was taken out in late March). At that point I was done BF and AF was kind of coming back. It took three tries and I actually love love love the age difference. DS was born with 23 months difference (though it should have been almost exactly 24 months, but he came early!) and it was great. DD was sort of self-sufficient, she could amuse herself for small periods of time, and she mostly understood what was going on. But, most importantly, she was young enough to not remember a life before him and old enough to feel like she needed to protect him! We are expecting DS #2 in late December, which makes the boys 22 months apart, and I'm really hoping for the same experience!

I had baby fever right away but it got bad around 4-5 months PP. We wanted to TTC after LO's first birthday (I wanted to recover from my C-section) but I got pregnant when she was around 7 months old. I was freaked out at first but it was only a few months ahead of our timeline.

@cmomma17: we have just started and LO is 16 months. Having 2 under 2 isn't possible with my profession and daycare is expensive here.

Our LO is almost 11 mos and we're ntnp but I haven't had AF yet:(. My DH has had MAJOR baby fever for a few months and I feel so bad that I'm just not fertile yet:(

@MamaBehr: I'm glad you love the age difference so much! Congrats on #3!
@autumnlove: My DH would love to knock me up at 7 months PP (aka NEXT MONTH! eek!).
@littlek: our daycare situation actually makes us want to hurry things along. We have "team grandma" and they're not getting any younger ....
@princessbaby: I'm sorry you feel bad! I'm jealous of your no AF for 11 months though, mine returned today at 6 months pp and I'm not ready!!!

Our LO is almost 11 mos and I've been ready for about 5 months! My FI wants to wait though until we are a little more stable financially. Oh and married

we never really TTC for #2. we were NTNP from right after LO the first was born. we knew we wanted more than one, so there wasn't really even any discussion
I got my positive at 7 months PP. I noticed some ewcm out of the blue, after having little to no cm before that (despite AF returning at 3.5 months PP), and saying to dh "hey, wanna make a baby tonight?" (just told this story on @PrincessBaby: 's TTC thread!! kinda feels like i'm over-sharing, telling it twice! haha.)

@wheres_c: darn financial stability! that's on my 'would be nice in a perfect world' list .... Are you planning to get married?

@Penny Lane: wow, did it just take that one time? That's a pretty good story, I don't blame you for telling it twice!

@cmomma17: haha! well, we dtd that night and i think the next 2, so it was one of those nights!

We are planning on starting to TTC in January. Our LO will be 27 months. We are actually ready now, but I wanted to wait until we get married, but we will start right after that.

DS was 12 months when we started TTC. We got pregnant on our 2nd cycle so my due date has them being 22 months apart when DD comes, but with my history of delivering early our Dr & midwife expect me to be early again so they will probably be 21 months apart. We wanted our kiddos to be close together, around 2 years apart so that's why we started trying then. We did expect it to take a little longer to get pregnant than it did though, but we are super excited. I hope they are great friends growing up!

Hopefully in the next couple of months, we'll try for #2. LO is 14 months. I'm ready and there's a ton of pregnancy announcements lately. I'm getting feverish!

My LO is 23 months and we just started TTC this cycle. I don't have the fever at all but we always wanted to have at least 2 kids and wanted them less than 3 years apart...my husband waited very patiently for me to be ready and so here we are trying for baby #2. I have a feeling as my LO becomes more and more of a big girl I will get the fever bad and hopefully I'll already be pregnant by then

We were NTNP starting right after LO was born. We were planning on officially TTC around LO's birthday but I found out I was PG again at 6 months post-partum. My babies will be about 13 months apart.

My DS is 16 months now and we are on cycle #2 TTC#2. I breastfed DS exclusively for 12 months, so my period didn't come back until recently.

We have been ntnp since af came back at 6/7 months pp with no luck yet. I even tested yesterday because I was so anxious, no positive yet. We will start more actively trying after LO's birthday in December. I would have loved to have our kids closer but we'll see what happens (:

I'm 10w pp and have baby fever already! I think it's because she is growing so fast and I miss the newborn stage already!
We would like our LO's about two years apart and took us about 5 months the first time, so I think we will start trying when she is about a year old.

@autumnlove: I had a c-section also and was advised to wait a year but I am hoping to try for a 2nd a bit sooner than that. How was your recovery from the c-section and did you have an easy pregnancy experience with your 2nd? I had a very good pregnancy, c-section, hospital, and recovery experience. So I am praying for a similar experience.

@cmomma17: We also wanted to wait until we were extremely financial stable before having 2 LOs. We have no credit card debt, a good amount in savings, max our 401k plans and max LOs 529 plans. I think with 2 LOs you need to be financially sound, since babies are expensive.

We are waiting till R is 18 months to discuss. We have to make sure we can afford 2 in day care. But we can't wait too long as that will put me at 36 minimum when I would give birth for #2.

I wanted to start TTC for #2 when Xander turned 6 months. Currently we're NTNP, but AF still hasn't shown up for me, so we're not full-on TTC.
