I was just curious, who out there was TTC or NTNP and over 30. I thought it might be have a thread for those that are going through the same thing.
My facts:
Age: Just turned 35 in October
I have one LO, he's 18 months old
We have been TTC/NTNP for 3 months..

I have one LO who will be 6 months old on Christmas.
We are currently NTNP but needed IVF to conceive R so I'm not worried about an oops baby....annnddddd I just jinxed myself probably.

Ds is 13 mths
I nvr went back on bcp and af's been back since 4.5 mth pp. We're not planning on ttc lo2 til next yr but being that we are firmly in the pull/pray (or abstinence) camp. Id have to say we're ntnp?

TTC #2 My LO is 2 and 3 months
Trying for about a year, but stepped up our game in the last couple of months. I'm not sure what next steps will be if it doesn't happen without intervention...

I have one LO, he's almost 14 months old
We are just starting!
When we were TTC #1 it took us about 8 months! I'd be OK with that this time around, but would like to get pregnant in 2014.

@littlek: That makes me feel a little better I've been on such a "woe is me" pity train lately about so much. I see everyone TTC for #2 and I just want #1! And then yesterday, my new coworker hinted that she might be TTC and that got me mad and jealous and everything... =/

We've been with an RE since October and have completed testing etc. We are prepping for our first IUI in January or February. Also starting to research adoption which we intend to move to at the 2 year mark if we don't pursue IVF.

Just had LO #1 in September after almost 2 years of trying, 1 m/c, 2 IUIs. Naturally conceived LO so miracles can happen...just have faith ladies! Big hugs

Age: 32 turning 33 in Feb ( I will say I love my 30's so far )
TTC #1 after a mc in Sept
Always planned on having my first before 32, lol, oh plans. It is encouraging to see other mama's who had #1 in their 30's!

@littlek: No, I know, but sometimes it feels "old." I think it's just because I "expected" to be pregnant by now and I'm not. If anything, it's just changed our approach for LO #2. I originally was fine with spacing out by 4-5 years. I know LO#2 could take one try or just as long but I don't know if I want to gamble with that. So I think we'll likely wait a year past #1 before trying for #2. DH is older too and doesn't want to be 40 and just having a kid, which I get.

@LindsayInNY: We originally were going to do back to back, but after I had B at 34 weeks, my doctor suggested I wait till B was 18 months before trying, so my body could heal. So, here we are...

30 is not old at all, but I get what you are saying. We had "planned" (ha!) to have our kids when I was 30, 32, and maybe 34. I really wanted to be done by 35. DD wasn't born until I was almost 32, so we are a bit off. But, in DC (and I imagine you'll get the same in NY), I felt SO young to be a FTM. At my MW practice they always commented on how young I was... We had also planned to have our kids 2 years apart, but that plan got moved up abit due to age and fertility factors - now I'll take #2 whenever she/he decides to come (which will hopefully be sooner than later).

NOT TRYING. Yet. Maybe I'll see you in a year or so. (well, hopefully all of you will no longer be on this thread if you're currently TTC, NTNP!)
But, for some encouragement to those who are waiting and frustrated, even though I never anticipated being an "older" mom (people, I'm from the South, and I'm an ancient mom at 31 here 
), I actually love, love, love that I'm older and think I am a better mom than I would have been in my younger years (not true for everyone). I'm sure it doesn't make waiting for your baby easier, but, but I think there are some great perks to becoming a mom in your 30s. And for what it's worth, we ended up with #1 & #2 when we got pregnant.

@cmbknyc: "Oh plans" - right?! What's that saying - man plans, God laughs? SO TRUE! I just keep telling myself that 1. maybe it's a good way to curb mine and DH's type A-ness and 2. there must be some reason that now isn't the right time, whether I know why or not.

DS is almost 21 months old. We are NTNP, pretty much have been since DS was born. We had to do IUI so I really wasn't worried about getting pregnant too soon. But I miraculously had a period in November so who knows what could happen in the near future! It would be awesome to not have to go back to the RE.
