This is my first month temping. We use a donor so we had home insemination a week gone Wednesday...so 9 days ago. I have had some really funny symptoms but why is temp slightly dropping...I really thought it would start to go up from now...can anyone shed some light on my chart please. Thanks xxx

I don't think a slight drop is a big deal. When I get home tonight I can look in my book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to see what they say about this... but I feel like there is a sample chart where she says it's just one of many common variations. The initial rise is where the information lies. As long as your temps are above the "cut line" (the red dotted line) then you are experiencing normal ovulation, and if you have 18 temps above the line then you're probably pregnant!

I believe the dip can be considered implantation dip for some. It's not specific to positive pregnancies though according to FF.

My experience with temping has taught me to focus on the pattern---so much variation exists otherwise.
