TTC vent session!

I just cant believe that ANYONE can accidentally get pregnant. I love it here because all of you can relate to this.

I have had a laparoscopy, an HSG, a post-coital test, a Clomid challenge test, and peed on more sticks and in more cups than I can even count. I have been stuck morethan I wanted to and I have even driven to the ffertility doctor with a cup of sperm between my boobs to let them check that.

It seems crazy that some people can just get pregnant without trying considering how many things have to be JUST right for it to happen.

I am on cd8 and just got home from CVS it shouldnt take THIS MUCH stuff to get pregnant!

Rant over....

Feel free to vent your frustrations as well so we know we arent alone in this ridiculousness!

I just got my blood drawn for the 1000th time and am waiting on the doc for an ultrasound to check my lining.

I'm just so tired of it all.

I know the feeling! I am tired of being poked and stuck and scanned! I had a friend call me CRYING because she was pregnant... not trying. I Almost came unglued! Really??? Im not the person to call when you are upset about accidentally getting pregnant.

I hope your exam goes well and all this ends for us both soon! Fingers crossed and praying!

I hear ya! I had no idea 2 years ago it would have been this difficult to get pregnant, and i'm so mad for all the years i've wasted worrying about "pregnancy scares" bc apparently it was unnecessary. I don't even know how much money i've spent on all things ttc related (fertility friend VIP fees, hundreds of OPKs & HPTs, preseed, vitamins, etc etc) and it makes me rage when people get "accidentally" pregnant!!! rant over.

@fotolori1: I have two more progesterone refills to use and decided to make a doctor's appointment for the end of February. DH will be with me and they scheduled us for a consultation. So we'll see what that brings...

I definitely can relate. Currently I am not being poked and prodded, but nothing is happening either. I feel like I have been hearing hold music for months.

I had one of those days yesterday where getting pregnant and having a child (nevermind the 4 I wanted) seemed so impossibly far and unobtainable.

@chibee: This! Man do I feel stupid about all the times I was worried I was pregnant. What an idiot I was.

@littlek: my RE said to take it during ovulation twice a day to help thin the cm and make it more sperm friendly. Who would have thought??

@Pui: I hate that feeling. Like it is never going to happen. I notice every baby and pregnant woman everywhere and it makes me feel so angry sometimes.... and sad!

I hear you girl. I'll add to your vent

I've had 3 people announce pregnancies on facebook this week. I'll admit I cried. I'm 13dpo today and not even bother testing this cycle because my temps plummeted. I feel so defeated. TTC is turning me into this horrible bitter person. I don't even recognize myself.

@Littlebit: Wouldn't that be nice! I'll take either cycle - one would have a pre-anniversary due date and the other a DH's birthday due date! Not a bad deal!

@lindsayinny: is your appointment with your RE? About a possible IUI or something? I am having my progesterone levels checked this cycle, so I am sure I will end up on progesterone as well. Does it affect your mood or anything?

@Littlebit: I had a rough week with announcements as well. I'm thinking about deactivating my facebook, or at the very least using all my willpower to avoid it. It makes me feel like a terrible person that these things upset me so much. You aren't alone.

@fotolori1: No, it's just with my normal ob/gyn. When I saw her for my annual in September, she said to come back in Dec/Jan at the one year mark if I'm not pregnant and we could run some tests (I decided to wait until the end of February instead). I know the appointment is booked as a consultation so I don't know what it will entail, if anything. She never checked my progesterone levels but prescribed it for post-O because I was concerned about the couple days of pre-AF spotting I would have. I know some people have had side effects from it but I haven't noticed a thing when I take it. No signs of AF, nothing!

@Littlebit: i highly recommend not temping through the tww once O is confirmed - it's really, truly stressful analyzing every rise and dip of your daily temp. I have a feeling that this cycle is a bust for me and i'm at 13dpo - but not temping has really helped keep my moods at an even keel through the last two weeks. just a thought!

I hear you loud and clear....my favorite part is when people say just relax...even though I know we are dealing with IF issues even after I tell them that they still say ...relax it helps...ummmmm you try to relax when paying over $2,000 per cycle with meds and IUI, shots, time of work, ultrasound, bloodwork and such.......lol

I hear you. I am beyond irritated/jealous/disbelieving that some people just have sex and come out pregnant. I've been doing that for years and nothing.

It is SO hard to relax!! TTC is so consuming... it consumes every thought! Very hard to relax after so long and nothing happening.

I agree with not temping after O, it is so upsetting to see even a little dip and then if you happen to have that big dip in the middle your hopes are so high for it to have been an implantation dip. It is a viscious cycle and a roller coaster of emotions that I am sure doesnt help with the whole "relax" thing.

@sarac @pui: that is SO frustrating. Puts feelings in you that you KNOW are wrong. Jealousy, envy and even feeling angry because you cant have more in your life, like you arent grateful for what you have are all feelings that we shouldnt feel, but it is nearly impossible! We just have to keep in mind that things will work out the way its suppose to even if it seems to make NO sense!

I know so many people who have said they never wanted children or who already have more than they coild handle end up being pregnant and it certainly brings out the ugly and makes you question the grand scheme of things!

@fotolori1: I keep saying to my DH that I know I have no reason to envy my sister (she has a lot of problems which I am sure are going to come back and I know my life has a lot of positives in it) but right now it just feels like she has everything I wanted.

Im so sorry.... that is a terrible feeling. Im not sure of your beliefs, but I believe that things will happen in Gods time. Maybe she needs this in her life to change something she is doing or to change her in some way. I am certain it will happen for us too!

Ugh! Yup. I've wondered the same thing.

About 5 years ago, before we were married, we had an 'oops' and the condom broke. We were both still in college so I took the Plan B pill.

DH told me last year that had we gotten pregnant, we would have a 4 year old (at the time). I know it would have been hard on us but I wonder why we were so cautious.

Now, I'm doing everything in my power to get pregnant. We already spend a couple thousand on tests, meds and procedures. Up next, IVF...

@pui: I keep trying to remember this too, but it can be so hard when it seems like everyone around you is getting the one thing you are working towards so easily, while you are struggling.

@bluestriped bee: I feel the same way. And the small bitter part of me is wondering why I spent so much $$$ on contraceptives.

On a lighter note.... I used a "soft cup" today after BD and I have to say..... GROSS!

I have taken Plan B too.... I also tried numerous bc pills and the hormones all made me sick or dizzy or something everytime. I wonder now if I have spent useless money preventing as well!

@bluestripedbee: do you mind if I ask what tests you have had and if they can explain your difficulty getting oregnant?

Yes! Why did I suffer through all the side effects of birth control? Migraines, IUD insertion, cramping, spotting daily for 6 months, weight gain, decreased interest in sex, depression? Then paragard- insertion, heavy and painful periods? I could have saved myself so much time and money!

I went off my beloved tazorac (acne medication) since it can cause birth defects, and after 8 unsuccessful cycles, all I have is acne, frustration, and lots of money down the tubes.

Also: why is EVERYONE pregnant?
