I have two I bought off amazon and I do love them!! they're not quite as plush/absorbent as regular towels, but they dry so quickly, they're so soft and I like that they don't retain a smell like most towels lol! I love the look of them too.
I have these ones:

We have a few from Amazon and bought a few in Istanbul this summer. They're way softer than regular towels (they just get softer with each wash) but the fringe on Amazon ones has gotten kind of messed up from repeated washings. I actually haven't used the ones from Istanbul yet so I can't speak to that aspect for them, but they are thicker/softer than the Amazon ones (pre-washing). They're so pretty I haven't been able to bring myself to use them!

I just checked my order history and apparently we have the exact same brand as @Mrs. Pen: (Dandelion Textile). Good quality for the price!

We have some and I like how soft they are, but I don't find them to be as absorbent or as quick-drying as I expected. We also have these and I love how absorbent and durable they are:

@azjax: those towels look pretty plush. Do they hang like regular towels? I am installing the B&W Anthro wall hooks in LO's bathroom and the guest bathroom. Part of the appeal of Turkish Towels is the way they hang much thinner than regular towels, which will give the hook more opportunity to be seen.
@Mrs. Pen: @peachykeen: thanks for the rec! I picked up West Elm Turkish hand towels, but was clueless on where to get the body towels.

I have a few I got from eBay. I love them for swim class or going away for the weekend, they're so compact that they're great for packing in a bag.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: the Turkish body towels we have were gifted to us from BB&B. The other towels are pretty plush so may not display the hook very well. Our books are pretty plain so I never thought of that before haha.

We have two from Amazon, maybe even the same brand and we use them for swimming and going to the beach. They are awesome for that, I can fit all of our stuff in one big tote bag then and if we're in and out of the water they're mostly dry pretty fast. At some point we may switch for the bathroom but haven't yet.

I know this post is 4 years old but bumping because my SIL asked for towels that wouldn't line dry stiffly for Christmas. All of my thick fluffy towels come out SO crunchy when I try to line dry so I just use the dryer. Do turkish towels line dry better? Or linen towels? Dryer isn't an option for them where they live.
