Since he supposedly used it on a "beloved" character, I'd say that rules out Abraham, Rosita, Carl, Sasha, Eugene, and Aaron.
My guess is Glenn.

I think Carl did not meet Lucille because Negan threatened taking his eye out if anyone else screamed.

I think it was Darryl. Just because he was looking so haggard there anyway and he had met with the burned face guy before

I think of the women it could be Michonne since she and Rick recently became lovers or Maggie because Glenn showed how much he cared for her in the scene.
Rosita is safe unless they want a throw away kill. Sasha is less safe than Rosita, but I still think she survives.

I think it's Glenn too, but I kind of hope it was Aaron? Probably too much of a cop out.

I think it's Glenn because it's such an iconic scene in the comics. If they were going to stray from that, I think Abraham because of his conversation with Sasha earlier in the episode, or it could even be Maggie because that would be so messed up to kill her off.
I'm a little upset that all the stories went around in circles and nothing really got resolved to give us a LITTLE something. I understand leaving us with the cliffhanger, but seriously. Negan was SO hyped up this whole season and that was all we got. Ugh. I'm a little annoyed at the writers.

I'll be mad if it's Glen, both because I love him and because they did the whole "Glen's dead!" fake out earlier this season - what was the point of that stupidity to then kill him for real?

I'm guessing Glenn.
I'm all for cliffhangers and all, and I like the way the finale was done, but I gotta say it really aggravated me. After last seasons finale, with the addition of not finding out if Glenn was ok until several episodes in, it just seemed like a gyp. There was a lot of buildup to, well, nothing.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: Somehow that audio makes me think that it's not Glenn, but Maggie. It would pretty much be the most f-ed up thing for him to do (kill a pregnant woman in front of her husband), and if they are yelling Glenn, it could be to stop him from reacting/lashing out. That would seriously be awful.

I feel like Maggie or Glenn would just be so harsh, but also couldn't imagine michonne going. Didn't love the last ep though...dragged a little bit & no resolution! Gah...bring on next season already! PS: how awesome is Eugene!!

On another note, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is my #1 celebrity crush of all time and I feel so conflicted with him as Negan. I hate him but I LOVE HIM SO.

he's also on Season 2 of Extant. The Good Wife is such a great show!@MrsBrewer: I really hope it's not Glenn. The best (most cruel) would be to kill Maggie- her husband is right there and she's pregnant. I think logistically for the show they don't need another baby on set.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I was thinking that too (about not needing another baby on the show). Or maybe she will lose the baby from the stress? Maggie has been through so much.

I think it was Abraham or Maggie. I know in the comics it's Glenn, but he's TWD's token Asian.
Unfortunately, if and when we see another Asian on the show, that's when I'll worry about Glenn dying.
he's also on Season 2 of Extant. The Good Wife is such a great show!
