I've seen a couple different doctors and an NP and they all have varied opinions on how much weight to gain in a twin pregnancy. The one today said not more than 35, but it would be fine with her if I didn't gain that much. I'm 12 weeks now and haven't gained any yet, but I want to make sure I gain enough to have babies that are as chubby and healthy as possible! It's also possible that I'm a little scarred from reading the Dr. Luke book about how inportant weight gain is for the babies. I'm a little bit overweight, but not terribly, so I was planning on shooting for the lower side of the range, but gaining 25 lbs with twins just feels low to me.

What did your doctor recommend? Did you hit that guideline? Was there a certain time period that you gained the most weight?
