@JoJoGirl: I HAVE heard of that, but I didn't think it happened until later in the pregnancy, but I honestly don't know! Here's hoping it's a good sign for you!!!!

@Rachel: Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one that knew of that band, hahahaha!

@Adira: Haha... okay, from now on 'it's too early for that one' is the story I tell myself. Man. This has hands down been the hardest TWW so far!

@adira @Smurfette @mrsblue jeez i had a feeling that taking the night off from BD last night was a bad idea...well i guess i am going to jump my husband when i get home...thanks ladies...

@MrsCastro: Oh, don't worry! EWCM is supposed to show up a few DAYS before you O, so if this is the first time you're seeing it, you're still good!

just realized today is CD21 that is a long time...maybe because its my first cycle of BC....

  7. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: I hear you! Some TWWs are definitely harder and LONGER than others. What DPO are you?

  8. MrsCastro

    persimmon / 1491 posts

@adira ok good to know...i am choosing not to chart...it would stress me out too much...especially since we just started trying...

  9. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MrsCastro: I think it's common for the first cycle off BC to be longer (or sometimes shorter) than the norm, so don't worry too much about it being CD21 already.

@Adira: 12dpo/CD33. BFN this morning. Weird cramps today. Have had weird symptoms on and off this whole TWW, but definitely have had some (not all) before during other TWWs! I'm like the queen of imaginary symptoms. Temps still above coverline but not triphasic (link is in the charters thread). Also if i'm not preggo i'm going to go back to being concerned about my gums

@MrsCastro: My first cycle off BC was like 34 days long - I probably Od around CD21 also. Get busy sweetie!

@MrsCastro: I always got EWCM a day or two before ovulation.

    @Adira: YES!!

  13. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: Well, I know someone else got a BFN at 12 DPO and got a positive later, so fingers crossed for you! When is Diablo due? Also, looking at your chart, is it possible you're only 10 DPO? I'm assuming not though because of the positive OPK on CD20.

  14. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: Haha I was wondering this morning the same thing about being 10dpo. If I am though, I would have O'd 4 days after the + OPK which seems unlikely, no? I'm not sure though.. of course I took my temp an hour late at that 1dpo so I'm not sure I'll ever know for sure.

  15. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: Yeah, it seems unlikely that you O'd 4 days after the + OPK, so I'm assuming you really are 12 DPO. But depending on when implantation occurs, it could still be too early to test!

  16. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: I felt really strange one-sided pinching cramps on Sunday afternoon - that was.. um..3 days ago or 9 dpo. Obviously that could have been a) my imagination b) gas or c) implantation. Seems like that would be enough time though, no?

  17. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: Not sure. I tested 4 days after implantation (or at least 4 days after my temps rose). Maybe give it another day or two and try again?

  18. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: My plan for now is to base if i test on my temps. If they drop, no more testing. If they spike, i'll test. I didn't account for them staying middle-ground like today though, so that'll be a game-time call.

  19. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: That makes sense. I hope your temps start going up up up!!!

@Adira: Thanks I've been running my mouth all over this board the last couple of days so everyone will be relieved once I have an answer one way or the other. Haha.

@Mrs. Blue: I wish someone had reminded me of this song when we were trying!!! "It's Business Time" would've been a great theme song for TTC!!!

@Adira: If I don't get knocked up this cycle, I will lobby to have the next POAS thread named "It's Business Time! POAS August 2012." And we shall all play that song in the background...

@Mrs. Blue: thanks I feel crazy wonky today like my blood sugar is chronically low and making me dizzy. Boobs have been tender since Tuesday. Tapeworm, maybe??

Today is CD 24, 12 DPO and I tested - BFN. Super stark white, no hint of a line. As usual, I was symptom spotting this week and felt that I might be PG. I have been hot, dizzy, and TMI, had some (TMI alert) diarrhea. I was sad but not as shattered as usual...I feel more resigned to BFN's after 7 cycles.

We are going out of town tomorrow, so I called the Dr. to try and get a Clomid refill (I did two cycles of Clomid but didn't take it this month). The Physician Asst. who I have never spoken with was like, "we want you to wait for CD 35 to test and then we can talk about it." She kind of gave me a hard time about getting a refill now. I said I usually only have 24-25 day cycles and that I would still be out of town when I needed to start taking the pills. She said well don't start taking them yet. I wanted to tell her that I am not stupid! I suppose some of us are more educated about TTC from these boards and reading books like TCOYF, but I felt like she was talking down to me. I LOVE my OB/GYN but I will probably avoid the PA in the future. End rant.

Good luck ladies, I'll post in the next few days with my final July POAS result - whether I get AF or a miraculous BFP.

@JoJoGirl: Oh, what DPO are you? Interesting symptoms...

  31. Mrs. Blue

    blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts

@kentuckygirl: A 12 DPO BFN is a bummer, but there's still hope! I would probably be annoyed with the PA, also, but before I immersed myself in the TTC world I definitely would have needed to be "talked down to." I knew less than nothing! Have a nice trip!

  32. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@kentuckygirl: don't lose hope!! I'm 13dpo and bfn yesterday, but I get more and more optimistic everyday. There's a whole category in FF of charts with bfp 15dpo or later.

Sorry to hear about your PA - hang in there for a few more days!!!

OH GOD SORRY. I mean double post. I was posting from my phone. Hahaha. I did take a FRER tonight and it was bfn. I'm like, convinced I am KU so keep sitting there tapping my foot waiting for the second line to appear. What has gotten into me.

@JoJoGirl: Boo! Where is that other line?? It is suppose to show up.

@kentuckygirl: Sorry!! Hang in there! It could still happen. Have a great weekend away!

i don't know if this is helpful information for anyone, but my mom couldn't get a positive at home pregnancy test when she was in fact pregnant. her hormone levels weren't "standard." granted this was years ago, but she had to go to the doctor to get a blood test. i've heard this is not terribly uncommon.
