@Mrs D: I wouldnt use them on an infant. I would force the liquid tylenol as mean as that sounds or better yet mix it in with yogurt or juice
My LO was given tylenol suppositories by her doctor after the age of 2 just as a back up after she had a fever related seizure. Her doctor told me to avoid using them unless I really had to.

I would see if you can find one of these and mix a bit of milk with the meds. Our pediatrician didn't recommend mixing into a full bottle in the event they won't drink it all, then you don't know how much medicine they got. But we used this everyday for about 4 months with reflux meds.

eta: I know that's not really answering the question, but it's another means to try to get the meds in.

Also, if you want to try the syringe again, aim as far back in the cheek as possible and then blow in your DD's face to force her to swallow.

My SO is a pharmacist: "most pharmacists would be glad to answer a question like this even if you don't fill prescriptions there, so if you have questions like that call one up and ask. Sometimes you might have to find the right pharmacist that has the time and the desire to help however." My SO agrees the dosing looks appropriate.
