I am super excited because we decided to sponsor a child this Christmas and answer their wish list to Santa through an organization called Winter Wishes. (I was inspired by an earlier thread on charitable giving for the holidays! Thanks, HB!) I was delighted when our letter from Juan arrived in the mail today so I could start shopping. Juan writes that he is nine years old and that he would like a remote control car (easy), teddy bear (awwwe, done), and warm clothes for winter.

The "warm clothes for winter" breaks my heart and I want to make sure that the clothes I get him fit for this winter but I am a bit stuck because he didn't write down his size. I think I am going to order them from Target and slip in a gift receipt so that his guardian can return them if they don't fit, but I have no idea what size to buy off the Target website.

Does anyone have any advice on how to guess the size for a boy that age?
For example, this jacket:

Small? medium? large?
I feel totally lost when it comes to guessing the size.
