I like routine, I like structure, schedules and planning ahead. I always knew once I had a baby that I would need to have some semblance of organization to my day. It's hard having a routine with a 7 week old, but I'm getting there. As he gets older I'll start incorporating more into our day, such as music time, weekly trips to the library, art time, story hour etc.

Right now our days look like this:
8-9am wake up, change LO's diaper
nurse LO, eat breakfast
take a shower with LO
dress LO and myself
10- 11 am - nurse LO to sleep
LO sleeps about 2.5 hours, during which I do the dishes, catch up on Hellobee, eat lunch, do things on my to-do list and laundry
LO wakes up, nurse
have tummy-time/floor time for about 20 minutes
read a book, sing songs and cuddle on the rocker
Go on a walk - usually just a mile around the block
Then time for LO's late afternoon/evening nap
(he hasn't been wanting to sleep on his own for this nap, not sure why, so I've been holding him for this nap and I watch tv)
He wakes up between 5:30-6pm
Nurse, eat dinner
sing more songs, talk, change into bedtime clothes and bedtime diaper, say prayers
7:30-8 we start bedtime routine - nursing him to sleep takes about half an hour, then he sleeps from 8:30-8:30 waking twice to nurse.

We also go to the gym about every other day, either in the morning or after his first nap.

This is a typical day at home, but we do like to venture out too - like the gym, grocery shopping, random errands etc. We're pretty flexible with schedule. He naps great in his moby so I don't worry about naptime being interrupted if we're out.
