If you used the UPpababy bassinet for sleep, did you get extra sheets or a waterproof pad for it? Or just the one it came with, maybe with a receiving blanket tucked tightly under it?
Also when did you LO out grow it? Planning to use that with the jolly jumper stand while baby is in our room.

I woudl definitely get some extra sheets, but beware! They shrink horribly if you dry them, to the point where they are unusable. So don't dry them. My LO was only in it for a month before going to his room, but fit in the bassinet in the stroller until he was about 4 months or so (but he was very tall).

@hilsy85: yeah I remember reading those reviews- that's kind of why I'm so hesitant. That's good to read your LO could fit in it until 4 months. My older one hated it all around so we never really used it. But this baby will be in our room until they can share or we move...

We had an extra cover and it was useful. Agree not to dry them! DS slept in it (w/jolly jumper stand) until 9-10 weeks. He definitely fit in there longer, though - probably until at least 4 months or so.

I used our Bugaboo bassinet for the first 4 months. I didn't buy sheets, but I put a small waterproof pad over the mattress then wrapped a receiving blanket around the mattress and made sure the whole thing was tucked in tight so it couldn't come loose. Baby slept swaddled in the bassinet or in a sleep sack when she was a bit bigger. We used it this way until about 4 months. She didn't roll until about 6 months, so that wasn't a concern.

We just used a flannel receiving blanket and tucked the ends under the whole pad. B slept in it until about 4 months (although I'm pretty sure it says not to past 3 months) - by the end we were basically wedging him in.

I just used the one it came with. Both my girls never really spit up so it never got wet or dirty. I just washed it once a week or so. C slept in it for 3.5 months before she was too tall

They were sold out everywhere when we were looking for them so we used pillow cases from other sheets that we had and tucked the extra under. They actually fit really well and we ended up not missing the extra official cover.
Give the mattress cover a good stretch lengthwise when it comes out of the dryer and it makes putting it back on the mattress much easier.

We used our UB bassinet to transition from rock n play to crib. She slept there for about 3 weeks and I just moved her to the nursery this week bc she was about to outgrow it but she is tall for her age. She turned 3 months the day we moved her. I never bought a separate sheet.

It's great to read most of you didn't buy the extra sheets. I think we will do the receiving blanket and/or pillow case unless it's an issue. C was never a big spitter so hopefully this baby won't be but you never know.

we had an extra cover, and I never had any issues. She was in her bassinet until 4 months, but she didn't grow out of it as much as we grew out of her sleeping in our room 
she was teeny though. we also used the JJ stand.
