Anybody every get fired from a job you loved? How did you cope?

I haven't been fired before but definitely had things just not work out. Can you possibly work something out with the restaurant?

Oh no! I'm sorry. That stinks. I was "let go" from my first job after college after about a year, but it needed up being the best thing. I was there because I was comfortable and really needed to start doing something else. So it was a good kick in the pants. I hope everything works out for the best for you too!

@jhd: I'm debating on finding another job or going back to school for my nursing degree. Not sure what to do yet but my SO makes enough to support us with whatever decision I make.

@littleblessings: That's completely unreasonable! People make mistakes, especially when you are new to a job and nervous. Maybe they did you a favor, though, could be a sign to become a nurse!

@littleblessings: wow that's ridiculous. I'm a server too and people mess stuff up all the time, it's the name of the game. Sounds like your bosses were totally unreasonable. Waiting tables is hard work!

Given that the future of your relationship seems to be a bit up in the air I would try to find another job rather than going back to school and being financially dependent on your SO.
