We've recently decided to shelve TTC until after the New Year due to some travel I need to do for work this summer. I'm using the fertility app Ovia this month, and based on CM observations, my fertility window was supposed to start tomorrow. Or rather, this *was* the case, until I entered my information from yesterday (stretchy, egg-white, some pink spotting), and then it said my fertility window started last Friday?!
Does this sound right?? If so, I may officially be in the TWW...

I never did CM observations. I relied on ovulation sticks.
I do know a lot of people here are pretty knowledgeable so here is a bumping and hoping someone reads this!

@Raindrop: thank you!! I mean, I know that when you don't use protection, there's always a chance, but we were trying to use NFP and pull-out. I just find it so ironic that this is the first time we tried this, and now this happens. Whoops.

Remove the pink spotting and see what happens? Sounds like you're fertile now!

@Mrs.Someone: yeah, nothing changed. I guess we'll just have to wsit and see. It's just so ironic, because we were trying to avoid this month, and I don't think I got it right. I have a much harder time detecting O now than before LO. At any rate, if on the off chance i do get pregnant, it would be unplanned, but not the worst timing ever. Just very, very unexpected!

Fertile quality cervical mucus is creamy, stretchy, egg wire, watery... You should avoid having sex (without additional protection) once you start to see it change from sticky to any of the above. That said, I'm not a fan of relying solely on cm to determine your cycle. Do you temp or use opk?

@mrsrain: right, thanks. We used NFP using only CM or CM and BBT for several years to avoid before TTC. My cycle just seems so wonky postpartum, and I was hoping an app would help me figure it out. We DTD on Sunday, which seemed safe at the time but now appears as though it was my most fertile day. So who knows.

@LovelyPlum: unless you had ewcm on Sunday, it sounds like yesterday has been your most fertile day! I wouldn't worry too much, you're probably fine (though if I were in your shoes I'd still be symptom spotting and testing in 2 weeks... It's hard not to wonder!)

My rational self knows I'm probably ok, but my irrational self just bumped the TWW symptoms by DPO thread, soooo... yeah. It's going to be a looong two weeks!

@LovelyPlum: everything can be wacky postpartum. I would not go off CM, I'd either temp or use OPKs.

@BandDmommy: that's probably a good call. I have a thermometer coming tomorrow, so if, in fact, I'm ok this cycle, I will use it starting next month. And thanks for the input!!

@LovelyPlum: I'd say until you know your cycle id use backup protection like condoms if you are trying to prevent. Quite a few of us have gotten pregnant using PNP.

Wellllll @LovelyPlum: ... I can vouch for a random late ovulation resulting in a surprise baby... just happened to me last month! We DTD, and then I realized there was some EWCM... and I was like, Nah! We're ok. It was only one time and maybe it was random EWCM.... Um. Definitely pregnant. 
But we were planning on trying in December... So just a little early.

@BandDmommy: @BLA: yeah, PnP seemed like a good idea at the time, but who knows??? We were going to TTC soon anyways, but this possibility has thrown me for a loop. Guess we'll see soon if I join the PnP failures
