Olive did very rarely so we didn't really have to worry about her. With Charlie, up until 18 months everything went straight into his mouth. That's when we started with art supplies, but he still occasionally put things in his mouth way past 2.

I've been meaning to ask this! Alice has outgrown it to a certain extent, but Blake is still going strong. They hardly have any teeth so I imagine they're in a constant state of teeth so chewing on everything feels good. At least it's easy to get them to brush their "teeth" every night!

I would say by 18 months she was over it. She had all her teeth at that point (except two year Molars) and she had a better understading of what she was supposed to do with stuff so she didn't just put it all in her mouth.

DS is 21 months and is hit and miss with placing things in his mouth. Sometimes, he never does with said item then one day, in the mouth. So random!

So my kids have sensory issues, and my 3 year old still does sometimes, but in a different way. She stopped doing the baby putting things in her mouth thing a little past a year, but will still chew on things due to sensory stuff. My 14 month old puts rocks in her mouth to get my reaction, but has slowed down on the putting everything in her mouth to check it out.

Coming up on 19 months now and she still does it fairly regularly, although I think she knows now she is not supposed to. We can't really do art yet because she happily eats crayons, chalk, etc.

My son stopped by 15/16 months I think? Now, he's 21 months and occasionally he puts something in his mouth but it's to get a reaction out of me because he thinks it's funny.

He just turned 3 and still does it. And he licks everything. He's also always sick, so it's an issue.

Oh man I wish this stage was over. DD constantly put things in her mouth. Crayons are like candy to her. I thought by 20m this stage would be long behind us.

I'm thankful for this thread because at nearly 20 months LO puts most things in her mouth. At music class her teacher tells her not to put the instruments in her mouth and I feel bad like maybe I should be telling her not to do it anymore?

Everything until about 2, now he chews on some things at 2.5. (He stopped with crayons, play doh etc. Once he could understand better at like 18 months.)

DD is 2.5 and still puts things in her mouth but I think now it's more behavioral because she knows I will notice and tell her to stop. She just scares me though that she will choke on something!

DS hardly ever put anything in his mouth, it was nice not to have to worry about him finding little odds and ends.
DD did a bit, but at 17 months she doesn't do it much anymore. It's mostly when she finds something new.

Oh man! While he doesn't do it during daytime, he still can not get over his blankie and sucks on it at night when he goes to sleep. That thing is soaking wet every day and he doesn't mind it one bit! In fact, he likes it being nasty wet! He's 3+ years old now. I don't know how to take that away from him He doesn't do it with 99% of everything though, just the blankie.

With DS, he mostly stopped around 2.5 but there were a few times until 3.5 that he would put like a water bottle cap into his mouth or something odd and small.
DD pretty much stopped around 2-2.5:
DD2 puts more into her mouth than my first two did. Ever little crumb, wrapper, rock, goes straight into her mouth. Ugh. I hate it! I have to swipe her mouth daily even though I keep such a close eye on her. I wonder if it'll last longer because she's so interested in putting everything in her mouth right now?

DS1 is 4 and still puts things in his mouth (also sucks his thumb) - toys, markers, bathtub bubbles, etc. It drives me crazy.
DS2 - is almost 2. Has never sucked his thumb but will occasionally put something in his mouth. I'm usually around if there are small items in front of him so i'm not super worried.
