I always avoid fever reducers because I strongly believe a fever helps get you better faster, so I just sweat it out. I attribute that to why I get better quickly, lol.

@Navy_Mommy: Well, I don't have a fever. I want to take ibuprofen for the PAIN!

I think it's also hard because everyone's symptoms are so different when you're an adult and get it. Some people get intense itching while others only get the mouth sores. Either case, stay hydrated! I hope it's super fast for you!

Soooooooo.... I THINK I'm on the mend! I never got the sore throat (knock on wood), but my hands are no longer CRAZY itchy and my feet don't hurt anymore, and all these bumps seem to be fading!!!

I think for having had this, I probably had it easy (knock on wood)!

@Adira: Good to hear you are doing better!!! The only benefit of having this was the skin peeling off around my cuticles on my fingers and toes--it looks like I got a mani/pedi I had it weeks ago and the skin on my feet are still peeling. Minimal shedding on the hands at this point.

@keiki_mama: I haven't had ANY peeling! I wonder if maybe I had something totally different! My bumps have just faded and disappeared!

@Adira: I don't think my peeling started right away... maybe 4-5 days after the bumps went away?

@keiki_mama: Oh, so there's still time for this to happen, haha!

@Adira: How are you doing? I hope you're all better.

I followed this thread closely out of a fear of this virus. Today daycare had a note on the signout sheet that one of the LOs was diagnosed with it. Ugh -so not excited about the prospect of getting this.

@Corduroy: @cmomma17: Thanks ladies!! I am much better!! The intense itchiness in my hands and pain in my feet each lasted about 2.5 days and then I started to get better! I never did get the horrible sore throat, so I think I lucked out!! I am now just entering the skin peeling phase, which is gross looking, but otherwise not too unpleasant!

@Adira: How are your nails? My DH ended up losing all his fingernails as part of this process as well. He complained about them from the very beginning. Also, LO just lost her thumbnail recently as well (almost 6 weeks later!).
