I teared up just thinking about how scary it must be to leave and not know what you come back to. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed that the new treatment will help Lucas!

I don't know what to say besides I am so sorry your family is going through this. I can't imagine the pain you and your family are feeling. I will continue to keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Miracles do happen every day!

@beaker: Would you be able to coordinate a fundraiser for a care package for Ms. Badger? We've mostly done private fundraisers in the past, but I'd love to open it up to the boards at large...

Still thinking of Lucas.

I always wish I had more positive news. Lucas is not doing well. The treatment they hoped would help open the artery and veins has so far not had any effect and it seems like his body is getting very tired. He's on a ventilator and continuous dialysis. No one has given up on him but it's looking very grim.

@Ms.Badger: My heart is aching for you! I am sending you all the prayers for a miracle. Come on little Lukas!
