@Sandy: I was able to play soccer, go swimming, and travel all over with family during the time when I was doing peritoneal dialysis! It takes planning but can definitely be done. She won't know any different so she will adapt and probably exceed your expectations! I'm sending SO many prayers your way.

@petunia354: Thank you for sharing your personal experience. I know I will be reaching out to you when the time comes for her to get a transplant. The pediatric nephrologist says babies are not eligible until they reach 20lbs, which is usually 2 years of age for those with kidney disease b/c they will have growth issues
