When I was pregnant, we called the baby Stormy, short for Stormageddon. We planned to be team green and wanted a name to use. I just found out today that my cousin got a puppy and that's what they named it. We're not terribly close, and I'm not even sure he's aware that's what we were calling the baby, so it's not even insensitive of him. But he posts about it on FB and seeing the name over and over is upsetting. Not complaining that he did it, since it was in no way wrong, but I'm still struggling a bit with it, and needed to just say something/get my feelings off my chest in a safe place.

Those feelings are there whether its right or wrong and that's ok!!! Before miscarriage, we had a top pick for the boy name, now my bestie is pregnant and it's the name she is going to use if its a boy. We had never ever ever talked about that name to each other, so she has no idea I wanted to use it, and I have no claim to it, but still is a bummer.

Hide him for a bit. It might help. And you do have a right to be upset if you feel that way! Your feelings are totally valid and I think anyone in your position would probably be upset.

I think being upset is a valid reaction. You know it's not their intention, but it still hurts. I agree with other PPs, hide his posts for a while!

It's so hard secretly going through loss -- I know other people aren't trying to be insensitive/rub it in my face, but I just feel like little things like this have been triggering a lot of emotion with me lately too. It's nice to have a supportive community here. Sadly it doesn't seem that loss is an uncommon experience.
