It looks like I will be using these wall tiles..
What type of tiles would you use for the floor of a wetroom/bathroom?
Need to order tonight!
Light grey, white, black, white marble.... Help me choose!
Bathroom furniture is white..

I wouldn't do white since the walls and furniture are white. Are there any other colors in the room (shower curtain, accessories, etc.)?

@LindsayInNYC: No other colours at all in the bathroom, and we wont add any...
Here are some options..
Something dark like this...
Or grey slate like this...
Or light marble like this...
HELP!

Just added a poll too. Seems like grey is the fave.. I could have an answer!

Love the 2nd photo in your most recent post! I voted gray, but in reality I'd choose a deep red penny tile or something bold, because I like doing those sort of things

@Boogs: I do too. Do you think the pattern of the marble and the tile will be too much though? The darker greys seem "plainer"/less textured...
Urg. I have to decide tonight as well. So difficult!

@Mrs.Someone: he he, do you like the photos or the floor tiles?! I love penny tiles

Grey or White/Grey marble . . . but definitely grey grout! It won't show dirt as readily as white grout!

@sea_bass: I like the whole combo, though I'd do solid on the floor and not checkerboard gray.

@LindsayInNYC: Do you think the marble is too busy with the texture of the wall tile? I kind of feel that way.. But then I think all light could be nice.. Ahhhh, keep going around and around in circles!

I vote gray as well. My beef with light tile is light grout. Bathroom floors end up with standing water and the grout ends up looking icky no matter how much you clean it. Dark grout FTW!

@prettylizy: Just had to google what FTW meant!! I see your point. Also it will be a wetroom so the shower will fall directly onto these tiles. Maybe white marble will be less durable than the grey slate...

@sea_bass: I have taupe-ish grout in my bathroom and the spot where I sit at my vanity to do my makeup has gungy grout from wet feet. I think it's because grout is porous so the water gets in and sits and grows mold. I've tried bleach, scrubbing and the only things that fixes it (that I've used) is sanding it out! Not fun.

@sea_bass: If it's a simple, more solid colored marble, I think it would look fine. Thankfully I have yet to design any rooms/bathrooms so I haven't had to make these sorts of decisions! LOL.

@prettylizy: Holly smokes. I do not want to do that. I know marble is more porous than slate so maybe grey slate is safer for longevity...

WHITE or WHITE GREY MARBLE. Definitely. Going too dark with tile is an expensive mistake!
ETA- I totally misunderstood I read it as you decided on floor tile and wanted wall tile. I would still go with grey then for the floor, still don't like the idea of black, but maybe stay away from white on a floor!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes.

@kjpugs: Hahaha! Ok looks like I could be near a decision! Grey is also under half the price of the white marble... So DH will be pleased

I say grey to add some color to your bathroom since your wall tile and furniture are already white.

something dark (not too much of a fan of "black" though) to contrast your white furniture! dark grey!

Grey tile would be my choice, it's great at hiding dirt. Definitely not white though. We briefly considered white floor tile (to go with our white marble shower surround tile) because of all the pretty pictures of white bathrooms on Pinterest. Then I realized what a nightmare cleaning a white floor constantly would really be. We went with a lightish slate grey tile instead, and are in love!

OK LADIES!
Tentatively saying I am going to go with large square (600 x 600) grey slate tiles.. Like the middle photo.
Still have a few more hours to change my mind (again and again..).
Can't wait to see the finished bathroom!

@Boogs: They have gutted the bathroom today so *hopefully* it wont be long! Even more so given I am 31 weeks!
Thanks for your help everyone!

@Boogs: Haha! And that's only the bathroom. They have to build the rest of the flat too! I went around there today and its basically a giant cave. I am sitting here with my legs crossed, very tightly!
