Does anyone here sell it? Buy it? Love it?
We have a few of their books and I didn't realize they were direct sales, but now I'm wondering if I should sell it. I like their products!
Just trying to gather information because direct sales/pyramid schemes scare me.

I really like them! In general I'm not a fan of direct sales either, but actually hosted a party for them last week. After all it's children's books, something you'll be buying anyways.

This just started up on my friend group, and honestly I felt kind of exasperated about it because direct sales have been EVERYWHERE the last few years. Everyone wants me to buy their scentsy and essential oils and mascara and nail stuff and now we've added something else on....ughhh. This may be irrational because I do buy children's books anyways, but it's not really the same when you're being limited to a specific line of books and feel pressure to buy them on command and host parties where other people feel pressured and bleh. I'm just over direct sales, I don't think I have it in me to make an exception even for books.
I think it's okay to say you're selling them if anyone is interested, but I'm over the parties and pressure to host parties.

@wonderstruck: I hear you! Every five days I'm invited to a Facebook party for something from someone who hasn't spoken to me in ages. That's what makes me wary. But, I wonder if the discount is good enough to make it worth it.
@Miss Ariel: did you host a physical party? Did people like the books? Did people buy stuff? I've been to those things and people don't buy stuff!

@MamaBehr: no it was a Facebook party. I was afraid no one would buy stuff, especially since I never do, but at least 3 people I know did, and I wound up with $20.

In my experience it's not very pyramid-y. I mean there's the structure where you can work your way up, but everyone is so laid back! They don't care why you join or what you do, which I love.
And parties only have to be $85 to get free stuff, most companies are $200+. As a consultant, if you have a self hosted party, you get both commission and hostess benefits.

I first saw these books abroad, they sell them in the regular bookstores there, but they are super expensive...so I went looking to find them in the US and I still really like them but haven't purchased any yet. I might now!

We have a few. For me, they are some of the cheapest/easiest new English language books that I can get my hands on. I think they are well made (meaning durable) and usually pretty interesting. I just bought one a few weeks ago from a seller at a flea market (selling new books) and it was a volume with 5 or 6 stories inspired by foreign myths/fairy tales. Overall, I think they are pretty well done, but I don't have much in the way of English language bookstores, so I take what I can get!

Our school has an usborn book fair. Never realized they were direct sale type.
I love love love usborn books and the book fair is great to look through books and buy what you want.

@sorrycharlie: I have never heard of this company but it sounds like a good deal. Is it better to sign up with someone local to get the best deals?

@misolee: They have an option for consultants to become certified for book fairs and school sales - the books really are awesome! I'm totally falling down the rabbit hole with my list lol
@Kimberlybee: nope! I actually joined under someone I didn't even know - I saw her post in a moms group and was intrigued. Then saw the discount and was like well why the heck not. Haha.
